Heals, 28-Oct-09 » After a spontaneous response (who needs study?) to the request made this morning, netGameRadio's Chol, Callum and Fozzy decided to tekk on down to the EB store at Bondi Westfield for the prelease show of Tekken 6 and a chance to meat the Godfather of Tekken, Katsuhiro Harada!

We were met at the door by a key figure of the Tekken enterprise Katsuhiro Harada (Harada-san) who has been on the project for over 10 years. People began to line up for this prime opportunity at around 1:30pm where both Katsuhiro Karada and his American translator greeted a number of Tekken and Soulcalibur fans giving away posters and autographs.

To join the queue were two hardcore Tekken fans, a gentleman dressed as Kazuya Mishima who left quite soon after, embarrassed lol, and exotically enough a lady dressed as Emily 'Lili' Rochefort who gracefully accepted our request of a photo, posing rather well to Tekken 5Dark Resurrection concept.

As such we thought it would be a prime opportunity to take a few more snap shots. We requested Katsuhiro and his translator to pose identically to the life size figurines going on raffle later in the day. This was widely acknowledged as we were swarmed by cameras from most patrons in the store.

The EB store had Tekken 6 running on an xbox 360, so Chol and Fozzy took a little time to try it out. Chol had a go at some single player action while Fozzy enjoyed the rather strange arcade action taking the role of a Kangaroo and his Joey, quite amusing with his spin kicks, Chol immediately responding with “ if that happened in real life you would be so dead”. We then looked below the screen and noticed a rather strange price tag of $240 for the title.

The life size figurine give away of the two Tekken Fighters was essentially the main attraction where just fewer than 50 people attended at 3:00pm in order to claim this obsolete prize.

The nGR boys were looking forward to rolling in the truck but unfortunately were not so lucky. The raffle for the five “Tekken 6” games from a range of platforms had none other than Chol snagging a copy on the xbox 360.

To wrap up the experience, Chol had a kebab. (Kebab score 8/10)

Lovely Day all in all, the game is set to be released in just about a week so look out for this exciting title. We also got two posters signed for netGameRadio Subscribers so look out for the nGR competitions!!
