Changes to the netGameRadio Membership Program
Heals, 6-Oct-09 » As of Monday, we'll be making a few changes to the way netGameRadio members pay for their subscription. All memberships are to become annual and not only that, but the price is being significantly reduced as well. Making being a netGameRadio subscriber all that much easier!
As I'm sure you can all appreciate, being a volunteer based organisation, admin work often doesn't get the time and attention it should! Whilst our membership program is very important to us and is at the core of the netGameRadio experience, it's grown increasingly hard to manage in it's current form.
As of Monday, we'll be switching to an annual-membership model, reminiscent of many community radio stations, to ensure we can spend more time sourcing awesome goodies for our giveaways and less time doing stinky admin work! How much you pay to be a subscriber depends entirely on what time of the year you sign up. All station memberships will expire on the 30th of June each year - making being a member all that much easier.
We're also extending the changes to price! As of Monday, we're lowering the cost of being a member. In fact, we've cut the cost of membership down to just over $4 a month - that's gold coin territory!
Existing subscribers need not worry about the transition, we've got you covered! Anyone who currently has an active subscription that expires in 2009 will enjoy a free extension until December 31st 2009. Those who have already purchased subscriptions that expire after December 31st will have their memberships extended to the 28th of February 2010.
We apologise if these changes are a hassle for anyone, though I can assure you, as more members join up and the admin team expands here at netGameRadio, the program will adjust to suit and you'll start to see more payment flexibility introduced again down the track.
The changes will be rolled out on the website next week, so keep your eyes peeled!
