VyperAus, 15-Oct-11 » With 10 days to go before BF3 launches, Dice have lifted the curtain on the multiplayer maps that are going to filled with an army of battlefield gamers come the 25th of October.
Judging by the looks of things, Dice have been listening to the community in regards to maps and the way that BF3 should be.
There is the pre-requisite close combat infantry maps, and by the looks of it, the thoughts of Karkand and Mashtuur City have been held in great respect, with the creation of the urban combat maps for BF3.
But don’t forget Battlefield has never just been about the close combat, it’s always been about combined arms, it’s about using all the big boys toys that are available and that means tanks and choppers and jets. With several of the maps including the Caspian Border map from the Beta, Dice has made sure that BF3 is going to get that large battlefield combat feel to it.
But wait there’s more, with one of the maps announce being an amphibious assault map. Not much information has been released in regards to the watercraft so far, but if there is any large ships at all it will be the first time since 1942 that Battlefield Gamers have had the opportunity to control some serious firepower on the high seas.
