Steve-0 took some time out to chat with Aaron, lead singer and songwriter for American ska punk band, Reel Big Fish! Aaron and the boys from Reel Big Fish will be in Australia playing the Soundwave Festival early next year. You can hear the full interview on Got Metal tonight as part of Steve-0's 'Not Metal' segment!

Steve-0: Aaron, how are you mate?
Aaron: I'm wonderful! I slept all day.
Steve-0: Slept all day? Join the club man.
Aaron: Oh yeah! *laugh*
Steve-0: Righto - are you excited to come down to Sydney for the soundwave festival?
Aaron: I am excited, it's going to be awesome.
Steve-0: You've been to Sydney before, I know that, how was it?
Aaron: It was really fun, one of our best shows, Sydney, biggest shows too!
Steve-0: That's very good, makes my heart feel fuzzy and warm.
Aaron: But i'm not just saying that, it's really true - amazing crowds.
Steve-0: For Soundwave, are you guys maybe doing a sideshow?
Aaron: You know, we've been going back and forth with our manager and the booking agent trying to get something going, because people do that right? It's not unheard of. I dunno, you get two different stories it's like "yeah of course we're playing sideshows, cause we have all those days off", and then the other half goes "oh no way, in the contract it says you can't play this close to that thing and..." - you know, we're working on it. We definitely want to play, cause we love to play.
Steve-0: With some of your song titles, obviously some of them are a bit wierd. Do you just think of them on the spot or are they from you life?
Aaron: Depends on what song title, do you have one specific one?
Steve-0: Okay here's one, I Want Your Girlfriend To Be My Girlfriend Too
Aaron: Oh that's life. Sometimes, a guy has a girlfriend that you're in love with and you drive past her house late at night and...*pause* What? No I just made that up, it's a funny song. *laughs*
Steve-0: I was getting a bit worried there, I shouldn't have asked that. *laugh*
