ozfortress closes its TF2 8v8 league

ozfortress has decided to end it's ozfl8's league as of now.
Looking back over the 8v8 history we can see it as a vital stepping stone to what competitive TF2 is now. However we feel for the effort required to run ozfl8's it is not bringing in enough new blood to this community and it's competitions.
We would like to congratulate all the teams who have scored Titles within either ozfl8's Division with an exceptional well done to ir. for winning every Division One Title there was to offer.
However the death of this once thriving format on this site is not a sad thing as it opens up many more doors we wish to explore. Things such as shorter ozfl6's rounds, Custom Fortress league and/or a new arena competition. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
Finally we would like to thank all the teams who played and supported 8v8 on ozfortress and hope if you are not already enjoying 6v6 with us, you think about doing so soon.
