Lucasarts revitalizing Star Wars favourites?

Back in the early 1990's there were some great games, Lucasarts X-Wing and TIE Fighter series were in most peoples top 5. Play as a Rebel and fight the Empire or defend the Empire against it's enemies (Rebels or otherwise)
A recent email interview with Patrick Klepek of G4TV when asked about the return of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games Lucasart President Darrell Rodriguez cryptically said:
"We don’t have any announcements now, but stay tuned," said Rodriguez. "We will soon....."
Could this mean that the BEST Star Wars games ever (that's my opinion and I'm sticking by it) could be reappearing? We'll have to wait to find out but I'm one person who is hoping for a chance to play X-Wing and TIE Fighter with the horsepowered PC's we have now.
