Those unaware of who the ACB are, they set the ratings on all those games you buy if you're in Australia. However recently they've continuously cropped into the limelight over questionable decisions and surrounding the controversy about various "thought police" actions taken by the Australian Government. Prominently South Australia's Attorney-General Michael Atkinson blocking a discussion paper that would give the public an opportunity to discuss about the induction of an R18+ rating for video games; also the Rudd Government's proposed mandatory "Clean Feed" internet filter that is supposed to protect Australians however will block a plethora of unrelated content and reduce our already dwindling internet speed by another 70-80%.

So the ACB website got hacked overnight (Thursday-Friday) to protest Censorship. The site had one of its front-page welcome messages replaced:

"This site contains information about the boards that have the right to CONTROL YOUR FREEDOMZ," the message read.

"The Classification Board has the right to not just classify content (the name is an ELABORATE TRICK), but also the right to DECIDE WHAT IS AND ISNT APPROPRIATE and BAN CONTENT FROM THE PUBLIC [sic]."

A spokeswoman from the Attorney-General's department has stated that the ACB's website has since been taken down as the incident is under investigation, and a report will be given to the Minister of Home Affairs.
