sgtsmithy, 24-Mar-10 » This week Triumph and Smithy strap on a bra and try to get in touch with their feminine skills.

Multitask caught our eye this time round, a seemingly innocent and simplistic game at first, this slippery sucker shows how a catchy house beat and Microsoft paint graphics can be driven by a clean well executed concept.

The games concept is to test the player's ability to multitask, something we all know women are stereotypically much better at than men. You start out balancing a red ball on a seesaw using the left and right arrow keys, easy enough? 15 seconds in the screen splits in two, now you're also controlling a Pong like block, using the up and down arrows to avoid incoming spikes. No problem? 40 seconds in, screen splits into 3 and you're using AWSD to control a square in the third screen. Boxes will pop up and you have to catch them with the square within 10 seconds of them appearing, but don't forget the other two screens they still require micromanagement.
Still in the game? You hit the 80 second mark and the screen divides once again and you've got a 4th activity to manage. Hold the space bar to make a side scrolling arrow rise, and release it to allow it to fall. Make sure it doesn't crash into incoming walls.

2G mate? You're still going? 120 seconds the difficulty of all tasks increases. The seesaw the ball is on becomes more sensitive, spikes come at you faster and more frequently, more boxes will appear simultaneously and your side scrolling arrow starts scrolling faster. Hit 180 seconds and you'll be rewarded with the difficulty bar getting raised again.

If you haven't ripped your hair out by this stage, you may have something seriously wrong with your brain. Either that or you're able to hold your head cool so well that even 'cock blocking' your mates wouldn't ruffle your feathers.
Therefore this game is best suited to gamers who like some mental stimulation or feel like they have something to prove.

In conclusion, this is not for the casual player, this is a skill tester game. If you are looking to chill for five minutes, this isn't for you this simple flash game is like an IQ test for RTS games. Skills in Multitasking and micromanagement are essential.

Scores to beat:
Triumph: 197 Seconds
Smithy: Ragequit after 40 seconds

This means that Triumph is once again the man to beat.
Please provide screenshots of you smashing this score in this thread: http://www.netgameradio.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5112. You never know, you may be lucky enough to receive a little something (depending on reader enthusiasm and quantity of replies).
Can't beat it? Still post your score anyway, Smithy wants the satisafction that he could actually beat someone and that is still worth e-penis points.

Final Verdict:

Smithy
Originality - 8/10- There have been many skill testing games made, but not one that requires your attention to be spread so thin.
Addictiveness - 3/10 - As stated before, if you're coming back for more, you may need help (mental or e-penis).
Ease of use - 8/10 - The game is easy to understand but not to play.

Triumph
Originality - 6/10 - Skill testers for every genre are common, however I appreciate the minimalistic approach in the art.
Addictiveness - 8/10 - Unlike Smithy I'm an RTS fan. Combine that with an e-penis factor and this game will get its hooks into you.
Ease of use - 8/10 - Good control scheme, no unecessary clutter graphics wise.
