Heals, 3-Aug-09 » Australia's latest shoutcasting group Auscast has fired up their brand new website and has begun streaming a solid dose of "delicious audible awesomeness" onto the interwebs! Why are you hearing about this here? Well because we firmly believe in the positives everyone can gain by working with other organisations that truly wish to advance competitive gaming in Australia!

From the official Auscast press-release...

"We also look to make competitive gaming a better place to be, by encouraging growth and competition in the leagues, involving new players into our fine community and enhance the spectators’ experience of the game. So, in essence, AusCast is great for everybody.

Currently, AusCast only covers Team Fortress 2. (But stay tuned for more, coming soon!) However, there are a lot of exciting prospects for competitive TF2 right about now. We have the 3 month long ozfortress Winter League, which at even its early stages looks to be the most hyper-competitive gaming that ozfortress has seen for a while. Then, right around the corner is the 9 month long ClanSport TF2 Masters Series, which is being hosted by our friends at netGameRadio (and of course, us!), which will be offering the best-of-the-best some amazing tug-of-war action. Just remember, this is only the short-term. With Australian competitive TF2 only getting better, we can only imagine just how intense future tournaments will become. Of course, wherever it goes, AusCast will be alongside to cover it.

So what’s new at AusCast?

There has been a very recent complete overhaul in tandem with the official launch of AusCast. The website has been ramped up to ‘extreme-pretty’, the live stream system has been introduced, the first trickles of reviews are coming in and the forums have been re-instated. We are hosting a range of new and improved shows, such as the very well received ‘Another Castle’ - hosted by our affiliates at GamersRequest – which is a show based entirely on bringing the listener gaming related music and soundtracks. As well as this, we are hosting in tandem with GamersRequest ‘Wired News’, which brings the audience the latest news regarding gaming everywhere. Finally, our latest show ‘Anything Goes’ is a themed music hour which accepts requests from our large music database. Music is always running on AusCast, thanks to GamersRequest.

Remember, you can always hop on our IRC channel via our built-in web IRC, or hop into our studios via Ventrilo. Come and chat to the staff – we’re a friendly bunch and we don’t bite."
