The mother of all battles has arrived. Two enormously skilled teams. Two captains who would like nothing else then to see the other lose, and face humility. A match up never before seen in the 16v16 format. The most anticipated Grand Final has arrived.
It's not only the gauntlet that has been thrown down here, but the golden trophey of bragging rights is marking the centre war battlefield line seperating these two teams. The Battlestations klaxons can be heard starting to wind up furiously in the distance, the hay bails can be seen softly rolling over the front of the Mosque on Mashtuur, and the faint howls of LandaXe and Smiley both preparing their victory speech is echoing through the speakers at Hotel and the Hill.
That's right Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Grand Final time on the GameArena BF2 16v16 Ladder! Now in it's fifth season, some would say we have seen the best competitive format yet! And for these two monster teams to come head to head, there is no clear way to pick a winner unless you have a coin handy!
Team awaKen^
Team awaKen^ has been anything apart from controversial. Now with tie roots to clans of yesteryear such as Death Certificate and formerly known as Sequential Gaming, many things have changed. New tactics, new members, and a new passion to win. Boasting an extremely impressive line up, aK^ has done it's best to prepare for it's hardest match in it's entire clan history.
Although, to give them some disdain for when they first joined the format, aK^ were defeated by Australian Vengeance Alliance on Fushee Pass in their first match of the season by 42 points. Their only loss in their 11-1 season. Can LandaXe's group of merry men tighten their pants, and their weapon grip, and bring home their first ever GA BF2 Title?
Team exile5
Team eXile5 have now been around since the second season of GA BF2 10v10. Having members from previous clans such as Plus, they were also apart of a former gaming group called Qlimax Crew. Since leaving, they have developed themselves in to their own competitive gaming league. Since entering the 16v16 format, they have recruited from a host of teams including AvA, BnG, and most recently, Cadre.
Whilst remaining undefeated for nearly 3 seasons in the 10v10 format, it was a new format for eXile5 to reenter the 16v16 format. Suffering their only loss to tonight's Team awaKen^ on Zatar Wetlands by no less then 6 tickets. Their score sheet currently shows a total of 9-1 wins to losses.
In a finals sense, ex5, then known as Klimax Crew, last went up against aK^, then known as Sequential Gaming, in the season 2 preliminary finals of the 10v10. A hard match indeed, exile5 having their tactics down pat in order to come through with a victory. Some would argue that this is the last time they could have been defeated in that format. However, with smart squad leaders, calm leveled infantry skill, and pure determination on their side, can they bring the victory home?
Who Will Win?
At the end of the day, there can be only one winner. Can aK^ spam the nades enough and win the infantry battle? Will their cunning tactics of asset utilisation and destruction come in to play?
Or will ex5's perfect zerging format be all too much for aK^ to handle. You can be rest assured, that netGameRadio will be there to cover every little bit of action, every little bit of after match qq'ing, in our biggest Grand Final to date.

We will flashback to the last time these two teams played each other, both in the 10v10 on Mashtuur, and this season in the 16v16. With expert tactical analysis and discussion by pro's in the community, this is a pre-game show that you will NOT want to miss!
Then, exactly one hour later, the Grand Final begins. nGR is going all out embedding a gigantic FOUR shout-casters in the server to ensure we cover all the plays that happen, as they happen. RDNx, johnny_sisko, Dr Steve & Tingles will all be on hot standby during the action. We aren't stopping there either, with LIVE crosses to both teams communications channels to get the low down on each offensive and defensive play occurring, straight from the proverbial horses mouth!
