Result: BF2 BattleCry 20v20
JiNxXx, 1-Jun-09 » Last night we saw one hell of a match between Team's Blitz and Fury on Zatar Wetlands and Mashturr City. It was a great game by both and more importantly we have our Most Valuable Player of the Game to announce!
In the first round it seemed that Team Fury were taking control of the first round of Map 1 (Zatar Wetlands) by launching an all out assault on the flags! But it was Team Blitz that came back with a vengeance capping up all flags but Central Island denying the Fury team a chance to survive! They were able to use there combined infantry, armor and air support to take the first round 111 - 0 Tickets.
As the second round began JiNxXx was joined by the master BF2 Caster Donna to help him cover the spectacular action, and there was plenty of action.
To start the round Team Fury (playing as MEC) tried to run a squad drop on Team Blitz's Main Air Base but the Blitz'ers had none of it. From there on out it was action all over the map as we once again saw Team Blitz taking control of the map with infantry, armor, 1 jet and newly acquired a chopper. VyperAus was taking names scoring a magnificent 66 Kills as gunner in the chopper. This combined with OxiDeOwns jet skills they took the round 209 - 0.
We then moved onto the second map of Mashturr City where Team Fury had a huge come back putting a lot of pressure on Team Blitz in the first round! It was tank vs tank, infantry vs infantry as the 2 teams battled it out for control of the all important flags; mosque, power station, backyard! Team Fury were fighting furiously and gave Team Blitz a run for their money, but it was Team Blitz who had the last laugh in the first round coming away with a narrow victory of 72 tickets to 0.
It was the final round, it was time for Team Fury to show us the real Fury!
In the second round we saw an aweosome all out attack by Team Fury initiating one hell of a chopper drop on Team Blitz's back flag of hill. This then led to Team Fury's all out assault on the guys from Team Blitz. But the guys from Blitz did what they always did when they were faced with defeat, they got mad, muscular and green...(Reference: Incredible Hulk)
Team Fury determined to take out the round then turned on the Team Blitz's commanders assets hoping to blind Blitz's commander with truck loads of C4 explosives so that the assets would never rise from the grave again!
But then as victory seemed sure Team Blitz literally blitzed team Fury with an all out attack, cornering them at every flag, every corner, and uh...every corner x2! Fury was loosing flags and tickets fast and the forces of Blitz were pushing in for the killing blow!
It was all down to 1 flag Team Fury depending on the Backyard flag to stay afloat and show the world that the U.S Team still had a fighting chance. But it all came down to a shock paddle and knife fights as Fury's last flag was capped up!
Team Blitz would win the last round by flag cap out 195 tickets to 0.
It was a great match by both teams and it was a great to see so many guys coming out to have a great game of big format BF2 and of course have some fun on a Sunday Night!
Of course there is also the issue of who won our Most Valuable Player of the Match award?? Well I will say this, it was a hard one to choose as there were many magnificent players through out the match, but the one man who deserves this award is none other then OxiDeOwns.
OxiDeOwn's great Jet piloting in the first 2 rounds is what led Team Blitz to victory on Zataar Wetlands and the great infantry work he displayed through out Mashturr City shoes him in for this award. Congratulations mate!
